My ordeal in a Libyan jail: Rafram Chaddad’s story

On a rare visit to London, Rafram Chaddad, an Israeli artist and cook with dual Tunisian-Israeli citizenship, will tell the story of his imprisonment by the Ghaddafi regime in 2010 and how he was finally released, not through state-to-state negotiations, but the efforts of an Austrian businessmen. He had been asked to take photographs of sites of Libyan-Jewish interest when he was arrested as a spy. Rafram has now had a book published in Israel about his ordeal. Recipe for HARIF sauce

Ingredients

 
  • A whole head/bulb of garlic peeled but no need to crush or cut.
  • 3 large handfuls or bags of coriander/cilantro
  • Approximately 10 green chili peppers, for the next level of hotness add 2 hot red chili peppers. I’m referring to fresh peppers not dried.
  • Approximately 1/2 cup water.
  • 1/2 tsp salt.
